I thought this might be a fun forum for us to keep in touch and track Steorn. We all want to know where Steorn is headed. Feel free to register and post your insights here, and connect with other Steorn trackers!
There seems to be a problem of attribution. In order to reply to a post in the skeptic group I had to register as a skeptic which seems a bit daft since I'm not a sceptic but a insanely hopeful believer. Am I doing something wrong?
Also, there don't seem to be any emoticons, which is a pity.
I agree that is a little strange, I created the "Steorn Skeptics" group just to try out that feature. You should create the Steorn Believers group and balance it out a bit :-). As for emoticons, I agree, we should suggest that to the Ning folks.
I believe that Steorn are right in their idea that energy can be obtained by moving magnets around in the right combination of geometry and speed. I hope they will be able to build a device which will demonstrate this. I think I must be insane to so hope in view of the complete lack of any evidence that they are anywhere near to achieving this. 8-)
As far as I can see you have to be believer, skeptic and fence sitter if you wish to take part in all the threads since in order to reply to a post in any particular group you seem to have to join that group.
Nope, I registered as a Cynic, not that I'm cynical, just unwilling to accept any unproven claims from Steorn.
And speaking of Steorn, in response to the challenge "put up or shut up" they appear to have chosen the latter, it being we have heard nothing from them since the July debacle (which was very important for me personally, because it allowed me to escape that insensible and utterly groundless feeling of hope that Steorn was genuine and that free energy had a chance... but like the ancient Greeks I have come to see that groundless hope as a horrible curse that I am so very much more happy to have locked away back in Pandora's box).
Hello, I'm a skeptic it is just my nature ... that is not to suggest I am not open minded; I am a skeptic on if it is possible and a skeptic on if it is not possible. I have not seen enough to prove anything one way or another.
